New Reports from TABS Analytics
TABS Analytics is excited to showcase our new reports in our suite of CPG analytics tools.
The first features “Winners,” which identifies who is winning in the category by their type of growth:
- Distribution Gainers: majority of growth sourced from new distribution
- Growth Winners: modest growth due to a mix of drivers, such as velocity and distribution
- Hypergrowth Winners: strong, double-digit gains coming mainly from organic growth
The report’s filters allow you to view winners by category, segment, type, flavor, brand, and even item.
The second is a prepopulated SWOT analysis that uses your syndicated data to find key areas of strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat by brand or manufacturer with recommended action items you can take.
In the example above, one of Graco’s weaknesses is that it is driving less than its fair share of innovation. The call to action is to develop and sell more new items. Graco could leverage some of its strengths—top dollar share, above-average dollar, and unit productivity dollar per SKU velocity growth—to build a case for these new items in sales meetings. Per the opportunity section callout, the company can identify specific distribution opportunities using the distribution gap report. The threats section identifies top-growing competitive brands. Graco might use other reports to dig into what new item trends have been successful for these category winners.
